Cope Ehlers’ principal litigation practice focuses on defending insurers in insurance coverage disputes, which include claims alleging breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing and those seeking extra-contractual damages, which we handle on a nationwide basis. The firm’s attorneys also litigate a variety of other commercial litigation matters, including disputes involving breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation/libel, unfair trade practices, environmental issues, environmental liability, professional liability, consumer litigation, and labor and employment issues (including sexual harassment and gender discrimination). In additional to trial court proceedings, the firm’s attorneys have defended and pursued our clients’ interests in appeals to the State Appellate and Supreme Courts, United States Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
